Guide to Curtain Pleats and Hanging Techiques

Drapes should echo your room's feel and function - not detract from it.

Here's your down and dirty guide to drapery pleats and hanging techniques.

The Soft Top Style:

This gives a sophisticated and chic look and is very simple to achieve.  Curtains may either be hung with rings with attached clips or with hooks and rings (both methods are super easy, we promise!)

The Rod Pocket Style

The rod pocket style lends a more traditional feel to a room and is easy to install. Simply slip the rod into our curtain's pre-made pocket and you're good to go!

Pleats!

Pleats are timeless and elegant. Pairing pleats with visible rings brings a modern twist on a traditional style.

We have a simple quiz to help you decide what type of pleat style works best for you here! Definitely check it out.

Pleats operate on a similar hanging system as the soft top style, using a hooks to grab the band sewn onto the top of the curtain.  Pleats can vary in size and width as well as where they are gathered.
