How to Host a Picture-Perfect Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays of the year.  Waking up early to watch the Macy's Parade with cinnamon rolls and hot coffee, anticipating stuffed turkey and creamy mashed potatoes, and learning how Mom makes her signature sweet potato dish.  Thanksgiving is a good day and an opportunity to gather with friends and family to reflect and rejoice in the year's blessings.  

We've gathered some pro tips and tricks to help you host a picture-perfect Thanksgiving.

To foster involvement and lighten the cooking load, invite your guests to bring their own favorite pie and set up a dessert bar with everyone’s creations!

 Create cozy nooks for your guests to gather and talk while they work off that post-dinner sleepiness.  Collections of throws and pillows can lend an air of warmth to the room.

Gather unique and interesting flatware, plates, napkins, and glassware to create a memorable Thanksgiving table that your friends will be sure to remember for years to come!

Incorporate natural elements into your thanksgiving table to add texture and interest.  Colorful fall leaves (either natural or synthetic) can add color as well to your Thanksgiving tablescape.

Gold accent pieces gives your tablescape dimension and sparkle while creating a chic, sophisticated look.  Consider using gold candlesticks, gold edged plates or accent ware, or even gold painted pumpkins or leaves!
