A Book Cover Designer's Dining Room Revamp!

Anna from the blog Door Sixteen, is a book cover designer by trade, which means that she knows design! She recently moved into a new home in Albuquerque, and shared her dining room makeover with us.

Let's check out the before...

Oh my! Those muddy brown, polyester, too-short curtains...

And the infinitely more refreshing after!

She completely repainted the room, changed out those shiver-inducing curtains for our Belgian Flax Linen drapes in Mist Gray, replaced the drapery rod (and lowered it by a few inches), added a beautiful light fixture, and switched out the cabinet for a mid-century modern Eames storage unit.

Yes, we know... it looks amazing. When deciding what color to go with, we sent her a few photos for inspiration, one of which was this photo of SFgirlbybay's bedroom. And lo and behold, that's the shade she opted for! (We weren't too surprised, after all, the Belgian Flax Linen fabric in Mist Gray is our best selling color!)

She chronicles the process of choosing the drapes, as well as measuring and hanging them up on her blog - which you can read here

Psst. We made a few videos to help you out with choosing color, measuring for drapes, and hanging them!
