1. Dust monthly

Shake off your drapery and shade panels at least once a month to keep them looking nice and dust-free. Even better, invest in some Barn & Willow Belgian Linen window coverings, which are hypoallergenic, anti-bacterial, and naturally more dust repellent.

2. Clean accordingly

Even though Barn & Willow linens come pre-washed, it’s still important to know the right way to wash your window coverings when the time comes. For example, our unlined and privacy-lined window treatments should either be washed by hand or on the delicate cycle, in mild water and then laid flat to dry. Denser blackout-lined window treatments need to be professionally dry-cleaned and roman shades can be cleaned by simply wiping them down with a damp cloth.

3. Iron carefully

Keeping your curtains crisp and wrinkle-free is essential to creating a sleek and stylish space. While we recommend ironing your Barn & Willow window treatments on a medium to hot temperature setting, remember that blackout-lined coverings can never be ironed because of their construction.

4. Pay mind to pilling

Nothing looks worse than a pair of drapes covered in pills. Good news: Belgian linen is resistant to pilling, so your Barn & Willow drapes will continue to look fresh and new for a long time.
