As a Barn & Willow Design Specialist, you are the customer’s first impression and the voice of the brand, guiding each customer through a consultative conversation to determine the best products to suit their needs. Above all our Design Consultants are strong communicators who help people understand how selecting the best suited window coverings for their space can not only help enhance their room decor but help them sleep and live better.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Take incoming and make outgoing calls to guide customers through a joyful purchasing experience loaded with valuable product knowledge and window covering design advice
  • Develop lasting customer relationships via phone calls, live chat and email communications
  • Proactively follow up with customers at every stage in the journey to purchase their custom window coverings
  • Effectively set and follow a detailed daily schedule, which encompasses multiple activities and priorities to achieve maximum time efficiency

Customer Operations Specialist - Full Time

We’re looking for an energetic and highly proactive individual to join our team as our Customer Operations Specialist. 

Your core responsibilities:

  • Daily order packaging, fulfillment and order support
  • Stock inventory management and creating requisitions for re-stocking
  • Handling inbound customer and/or vendor inquiries (through email primarily)
  • Exception handling with customers and/or vendors over emails or phone (if applicable)
  • Being an integral part of customer success team, working on customers’ postorder journey

Must Haves:

  • You MUST be driven and highly motivated to work in an unstructured environment
  • Known to be a rockstar for getting things done, very organized and resourceful
  • You MUST be fast paced yet detail oriented 
  • Very comfortable speaking with our vendors/customers over phone and email
  • Great interpersonal skills and absolutely enjoy collaborating with other team members.
  • This role is based in Redwood city and local Bay Area candidates are preferred 
  • Must have access to your own laptop
  • You should have your own car to go to local warehouse (if needed) and order drop offs at USPS
  • You should be tech savvy and comfortable with some excel based modeling and using fulfillment management tools.

Marketing Manager - Full Time

We’re looking for a smart thinker who is marketing savvy, loves to put on a creative hat and super execution oriented to join our team as a Marketing Manager 

Your core responsibilities:

  • Manage our influencer program - starting from identifying influencers to working out sponsored posts, the final execution and reporting.
  • Build our social media strategy and exponentially grow our engagement initiatives. We love to see MoM growth
  • Build an end to end content strategy and manage our guest blogger program including Identifying relevant guest bloggers for weekly posts. 
  • Create and manage our own weekly email newsletter strategy. 
  • Manage Giveaways and product partner collaboration process
  • Create weekly reports for new user acquisition, engagement and ROI through newsletters, social media, influencers and all other relevant organic marketing channels

Must have:

  • At least 2+ years experience handling Influencer program, social media strategy, email newsletter and content for an eCommerce company
  • Prior experience with lifestyle brand and/or consumer focussed company preferred
  • Believe in GETTING THINGS DONE, FIXING IT and SHIPPING IT.
  • Smart thinker and highly execution oriented. One but not the other won’t help

    Trade Sales Manager (Interior Design) - San Francisco/Bay Area (Full Time)

    We are looking for a highly experienced sales executive to be our Trade Sales Manager to grow our Interior design business.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Entirely manage the selling process from client cold outreach, to final order placement while ensuring an exceptional client experience.
    • Develop and execute an outreach plan to Identify new interior designers, architects and trade professionals in the local area.
    • Host monthly lunch and learns, cocktails, happy hours and meet up events with designers in and around San Francisco to connect with designers.
    • Sign up trade partners and place fabric sample booklets in designer offices and libraries as per monthly goal and help track conversion outcome.
    • Sell to consumers over the phone, email as applicable.
    • Build excellent rapport and relationship with clients and demonstrate excellent clienteling skills including following up with clients regarding promotions, new product arrivals etc.
    • Cultivate our brand story in your local design community
    • Work closely with operations and marketing team to inform and coordinate new product launches etc.

    Must Haves:

    • 5+ years of experience doing trade sales for home decor retail and/or textiles industry. Relevant home decor industry experience is a MUST.
    • You have held sales positions for major part of your professional career and have an established network of designer, architects and other trade professionals that you've done business with in the previous companies.
    • You know in and out of the interior design industry and a pro at closing sales
    • You’re great at account management
    • You are extremely driven and motivated to get in front of the designer community (whether that be over phone or emails)
    • You are an excellent thinker, can articulate very well and sell your ideas.
    • You have a strong passion for home decor.

        Product Marketing Analyst - Contract (Remote acceptable)

        We're looking for a highly experienced product marketing analyst to join the team. This is a contract to hire position. Our ideal candidate is someone who has developed marketing analytics and B2C email marketing program at a relevant consumer product company. 

        Your core responsibilities:

        • As a Product marketing analyst you will play a pivotal role in helping shape our product marketing strategy through data and analytics.
        • Deeply study all our marketing channels, small or big and make strategic recommendations to help us identify channel wise fund allocation.
        • Analyze customer behaviour, product usage and our email marketing channel to design and implement a more intelligent/targeted email marketing program which will increase user engagement and channel revenue.
        • Deeply analyze our sales funnel, customer acquisition channels and customer segments to continuously A/B test and identify ways to improve cart abandonment rate, increase site conversion, time to place an order and average order value.
        • Identify our repeat transaction patterns and develop a plan to increase repeat rate.

        Must have:

        • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Computer Science)
        • 5+ years of highly relevant experience studying large sets of data and developing  marketing analytics
        • Product marketing analytics experience with eCommerce consumer products companies (B2C)
        • Excellent communication skills and should be able to effectively create reports and present the findings to the team
        • Experience with SQL, Google Analytics and any other statistical analysis tools
        • Experience with email marketing programs like Mixpanel and Mailchimp
        • Experience with setting up A/B tests using Google testing tools and Optimizely
        • Team oriented and loves the energy of a startup environment.
        • Remote work is acceptable for this role

          Software Engineer Full Stack - Full Time

          We are looking for a Full Stack engineer to own the product roadmap. You should be be able to effectively contribute on product, user experience and tech feasibility on an on-going basis. 

          • Self-directed, motivated and has experience owning product roadmap.
          • This role requires you to own and execute the entire product vision
          • A desire to build an engaging consumer experience
          • Hard working and dedicated proficiency with relational databases (MySQL, etc.)
          • Build and maintain backend architecture that is scalable, extensible, and efficient
          • Experience in full stack web-application development Node.js, JavaScript, jQuery, Backbone/Angular/Ember, React, CSS, HTML 
          • Comfortable with logging, monitoring, tracking and deployment tools/APIs
          • E-commerce experience is a huge plus 
          • Mobile web development expertise a big plus
          • 3+ years experience as backend software engineer
          • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent

            Software Engineer, Front End - Full Time

            You will be working closely with the founder and our user experience designer. You would be one of the early members of our tech team, owning the entire front end roadmap and working with product to execute the vision.

             

            Must have:

            • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
            • Experience with HTML, CSS, React.js (Angular)
            • Working knowledge of reusable JS/CSS libraries
            • At least 2+ years of experience writing both hand-coded and framework assisted Javascript, CSS and HTML 
            • Very comfortable building responsive design
            • Highly experienced with sketch and photoshop
            • Should be able to review UI designs and give relevant feedback for usability and technical feasibility
            • Experience using versioning software such as Github
            • Some full stack experience
            • Experience interfacing with 3rd party APIs
            • Code deployment experience is a must
            • Should be very comfortable working on weekly and bi-weekly sprints
            • Consumer product or eCommerce experience a huge plus

            We’re looking for a creative visual designer to join our team

             

            Core responsibilities:

            • Manage end to end design process for all our customer emails including weekly newsletters, email drips and transaction based emails.
            • Support our front end team for site redesign projects by translating design requirements into visually workable designs
            • Handle some of our social media and branding design projects  

            Must haves:

            • At least 2 years of solid design skills including layout, typography, color, design guidelines
            • Solid understanding of web and mobile user experience and technologies
            • Expert at Photoshop and/or Sketch, PSD or equivalent
            • Some working knowledge of Mailchimp, Shopify is a plus
            • Prior startup eCommerce experience hugely preferred
            • Can work remotely but must be able to work from our office at least 1 day a week.
