How to decorate with Pantone's Color of the Year!

Pantone recently announced their color of the year: Greenery! It's exactly what it sounds like, a bright, cheerful green that brings to mind thoughts of springtime and new beginnings.

"Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”

We know that decorating with green can seem overwhelming, especially if you're used to comfortable neutrals. You don't need a paint bucket to add a hint of Greenery to your home - why not add a pop of color with a few houseplants? (Having trouble deciding what plants to get? We've got you covered. Change up your pillows and throws with ones in bold colors, like in the example above. We personally recommend our Curved Herringbone Pillow in Leafy Green. That's the easiest way to refresh your home on a budget!

And of course, there's nothing wrong with going all in with the green! Green is a lovely, tranquil color that can be so beautiful, no matter what room you put it in. We especially love green walls paired with a white trim.

When going with a bright paint color, it's best to keep the rest simple as to not make the room seem overwhelming. This bedroom has soft cream bedding, and the Belgian Flax Linen in Off White curtains add a delicate touch that brings the room together.
