While many find comfort in the familiar, even the loveliest worn spaces need to get a touch up now and then. Lauren, from @farmhouseforfour, recently updated the master bedroom in her Georgia farmhouse, and shared the results with us.

Before

Before the update, Lauren's bedroom is feminine and sweet, with her floral print wall paper, and delicate decor. The small windows against the headboard are bare, while the larger ones facing the backyard are covered with a set of 4 off white curtains on a black curtain rod.

After

Drawing from the gray floral design in her wallpaper, Lauren replaced her existing white drop cloth curtains in favor of a wall of Barn & Willow's Belgian flax linen draperies in Mist Gray. The new gold curtain rods pair beautifully with the wooden furnishings, a subtle touch that definitely makes a difference.

She says, "One of my favorite changes to our bedroom was bringing in these gorgeous custom Belgian linen draperies from Barn & Willow in Mist Gray to compliment our Farrow and Ball wallpaper. We added two Roman shades and four floor to ceiling panels to draw the eye up to our planked ceiling and reclaimed beams. They add such an airy romantic feel to this space!"

For the previously uncovered windows, Lauren added a pair of Barn & Willow inside mounted cascade roman shades in the same Mist Gray fabric. Because the roman shades automatically come with a lining, the roman shades allow a bit of light to come in during the daytime, without compromising the privacy that a bedroom needs.
